The candidate
Thirty-one years in law enforcement. Twenty-seven of them serving Breaux Bridge. Now he's asking for your vote for Chief of Police.
His record
Hubert Augustine has spent 31 years in law enforcement, and 27 of those years serving the people of Breaux Bridge. He has worked patrol, narcotics, and homicide investigations. He is trained in crisis intervention and mental health response, and certified in domestic violence response. He knows how to build a case from the first 911 call to the courtroom: warrants, grand jury, trial.
That experience matters for one reason. The next chief sets the standard for every case the department touches, from the most serious violent crime to the call that turns out to be someone who needs help, not handcuffs. Hubert has done the work at every level, so he knows what right looks like.
Right now he is walking every street in Breaux Bridge and talking with residents, asking for the chance to serve as your chief of police.
Early voting runs October 20 through 27, 8:30am to 6:00pm daily, closed Sunday October 25. Come meet him at a Coffee and Conversation, or send him a message directly.
